Crossing Mara River Migration Safari - One of the greatest natural spectacle is the migration of the wildebeest, zebra and gazelles in the Serengeti National Park. More than 80% of the park is in Tanzania and the rest in Kenya. The predators gets active in the area where these herds are. Being there at the right time is an experience of life-time.
When it comes to Mara River crossings, large migrations happen across Mara river during specific periods. Because they just keep crossing the river every few days on both sides depending on the rain and fresh grass. The Grumeti river is of relatively shorter duration where as the Mara River extends for a few months.
Welcome in Tanzania:
You will be met upon arrival at the airport by our driver who will guide you to the waiting vehicle and load your luggage then drive you to Arusha for the rest of your stay. Depending on your arrival time the day can be spent at the swimming pool relaxing or explore the city of Arusha.
After breakfast in Arusha you will drive to Arusha airport for your flight to Kogaende air strip in northern Serengeti near Mara River. Upon arrival you wiill be met by your driver guide who will wlecome you on board safari jeep and satrt the tour. Since the flights from Arusha arrive in northern Serengeti in the later afternoon you will have the tour until sunset when you will drive to the lodge for overnight.

After breakfast time is yours, you will spend the full day at the river waiting for migration crossing. You have options to drive into deferent locations and time while waiting for migration river crossing. You will spend full day in search for animals.. The great migration will be along the Mara river and this will be your opportunity to see them crossing the famous Mara river full of crocodiles ambushing them. You will also see hippos, lions, elephants, giraffes, warthogs and if you are lucky you may see the endangered black rhino. You will spend two full days at the river for best explorations at your own pace, this will be the day you expected for migration sightings. You have bigger areas to cover around River Mara.
After breakfast you will continue with game drive along the Mara river as you drive to central Serengeti with lunch boxes. You will have picnic lunch at a set location then proceed with animal sightings in different locations and time in central Serengeti. The Seronera area is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park. You will sepend two full days in difference places and time looking for wildlife of all types that will make you have best travel expereince in Tanzania.

After breakfast you will continue your safari in the Serengeti National Park. In the Seronera Valley you might be lucky to see predators hunt as animals gather at the waters during the dry season. After lunch at a picnic spot you will slowly drive in the direction of the Ngorongoro Crater. As soon as you have reached the crater you will have a superb view of the caldera. This approximate 20 km wide crater is part of an UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to over 20,000 animals.
After an early breakfast you will descend into 600 meters Ngorongoro Crater floor to view wildlife. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro conservation Area supports avast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park, is it’s dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually been seen here. Late afternoon drive to the lodge for overnight.

After a leisurely breakfast, you will travel back to Arusha where you will arrive around midday. You will be dropped off in the airport for departure.
